Service Description

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course (Phase II of Blended Learning) (4-5 hours / $100 per individual / 200 rounds per handgun) The NRA offers the Phase I of the Basic Pistol courses online. This course is geared towards those who are new to pistol shooting, or desire structured instruction on the fundamentals. Phase I (On-line): ($60, paid to the NRA for Phase I) This is an 11-section self-paced, on line training course via the NRA's website that covers the following topics, & culminates with an on-line exam: Gun Safety Rules, Types of Pistols, Understanding a Revolver & a Semi-Automatic Pistol, Ammunition, The Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting, Shooting Positions, Pistol Shooting Errors , Clearing Pistol Stoppages, Cleaning and Maintenance, Selecting Pistols, Ammunition & Accessories, Maintaining Your Skills. Phase II (Hands-on, Range training): ($100, paid to C4SEM® for Phase II) Plan to spend about 2-3 hours in the classroom to review the materials learned during Phase I & conduct some hands-on dry fire instruction, and around 2 - 2 1/2 hours on the range. The following topics are covered: Validate comprehension & application of the Gun Safety Rules, Range Protocol, Proper handling, loading, & unloading procedures (using dummy rounds in the classroom, then live fire on the range), The Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting, Shooting Positions, Clearing Pistol Stoppages (hands-on using dummy rounds), Live fire qualification.
